A selected set of highly qualified papers presented at the Conference will be proposed to the Sustainable Energy, Grids and Networks Journal (SEGAN). Authors of the papers whose contents are within the main scopes of SEGAN will be invited to prepare and submit the extended version of their paper for review in SEGAN. The selection of the papers will be carried out by the SEGAN Editor-in-Chief with the assistance of the SEGAN Editors, and the results will be communicated to the Conference Chair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subject to the journal\u2019s approval and editorial procedures, selected high-quality papers presented at the Conference may be invited for possible submission as substantially extended versions. All submitted manuscripts would undergo the standard peer-review process of Energy Reports. The proposed Special Issue aims to provide an additional dissemination opportunity for outstanding research presented at SyNERGY MED 2026, particularly in the areas of renewable energy integration, smart grids, energy transition, sustainable energy systems, energy communities, storage technologies, digitalization, and policy-related aspects of decarbonization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
